I stopped by my local Nordstrom, a smaller store in a well-to-do area, this afternoon after getting back from vacation. Tons of shoppers still and my size (on an extreme end of the size curve) was mostly sold out, so I'm glad I ordered online earlier in the week.
OluKai Ohana Sandal - I'd been eyeing these online as a more supportive replacement for old black flip-flops. Found them in-store to try on, which was good since I needed to size up. I have a 5/5.5/35 low-volume foot and the size 5 was too short, so I bought the size 6. Wore them out immediately to dinner and thumbs-up on the comfort level.
Cole Haan ZeroGrand Perforated Training Sneaker - My store had these in grey, navy, and black (no magenta). The perforation pattern definitely shows up best in grey. They are also like walking on clouds in terms of comfort and softness. But ultimately I passed (and ordered a different pair of New Balance sneakers online) because the perforations + suede make them impractical for rainy weather, and I'd mostly wear this kind of shoe for walking vacations where the weather forecast is uncertain.
Munro Abby Sandal - I was on the fence about ordering this style earlier, and deciding against it was the right move because I didn't like it too much on my foot. Nothing against the shoe, which is very comfortable and supportive--although it does run small, the size 5 was too short and the size 6 almost fit me--I just didn't like how covered my foot was and how little of my short toes showed in the peeptoe front.
Rag & Bone Faye Vest - Looked so fab on Angie that I had to try it on when I spotted a size 2 on the rack. It runs a bit small, I think--narrow, very tailored--and would be flattering for petites. Was too long on me at 5'2" but could be hemmed without ruining the proportions. Ultimately not my style, but I look forward to seeing it on Suz and any others who try it!
Rag & Bone The Dre Slim Fit Boyfriend Jeans - Tried in size 25 (one down from my TTS), darker wash. People keep raving about this style so I keep trying it, but I think it must not be match for my rectangle-with-a-booty body type. I would have needed to size down again to a 24 due to lots of room in the waist, but then the legs would fit like a skinny jean on my average 14" calves.
Trouve Side Slit Sweater - I've been looking for a long-sleeved tunic replacement for a while, albeit not very hard. This sweater is REALLY soft even though it's made from an unholy material mix. I hope it won't pill. I tried XS and S in the store, and sizing will be flexible depending on your fit preference--the S was a bit baggy but in an oversized way, the XS fit well except for extra length in the sleeves. I ordered XXS and XS from online to see if the XXS sleeves are any shorter, and since they didn't have my preferred colors (forest green or burgundy) in-store.
