I haven't been good about taking photos this spring, but I've been riding the Everlane returny-go-round and thought I'd report back. Just one WIW for now, but maybe I'll update with more pics later. First, the winners:

Fatigue Barrel Pants. These were a pleasant surprise. I ordered them along with the matching blazer, thinking I might keep them if the blazer was a slam dunk, but not expecting much. Well, they fit great and the linen-blend strikes a nice balance between breezy and sturdy. I like the funky pockets and the utility vibe.

ReNew Anorak. This one ticks so many boxes for me. Lightweight, easy to layer, more breathable than Gore-Tex, nice cottony finish. Colour is simply gorgeous, right in between pale blue and grey. I spent a lot of time looking at other long spring jackets, but ultimately circled back to this one, and I'm glad I did.

Eyelet Tank. This is another one I didn't really expect to work. I ordered the brown version first, in my usual size, but it was both too big and too boho for me. So I reordered one size down in black, and it's perfect. The black gives it a 90s vibe to my eye, makes me think of Courtney Love. It is a real crop tank, great with high rises, but you do have to be okay with revealing a little bit of skin. I've been wearing it with midi skirts and high-rise shorts, and I think it will make a good transitional piece too with jeans and a cardi.

Double-Gauze Shirt. I have been looking for a not-too-preppy windowpane shirt for a couple years, and knew I wanted it to be black/white, not blue/white (I have more than enough blue shirts!). The addition of the amber colour in the check makes this one perfect for me. Fabric is soft and breezy, great for summer. I really like the cut of this shirt, perfect balance of ease and structure in all the right places, good tucked or untucked. I wore it yesterday with my oldest cut-off Levi's. Close-up for a better look at the pattern, and to show off the new layers in my hair. The lob was feeling a bit severe and heavy; I wanted to try adding more texture and movement and remove some of the bulk around my jawline. I think it worked out!

I’ll add Rejects and Maybe's in a minute…
