My oldest daughter is about to turn 13, and it is so nice to finally have a real shopping partner. She's honest, knows my style well, and knows about all my jiggly bits, so I don't have to worry about being embarrassed or modest with her. It's also fun to get to shop for the things she can pull off that are not age appropriate for me. Now that she can shop, I love having a partner. Before she became "of age", I preferred going alone. So, for those of you who are struggling with shopping with toddlers, get started now and maybe you can train them to be your perfect shopping buddy down the road.

Solo, but it would be great to meet up with girlfriends after for conversation about our shopping finds and drinks and/or dinner!

For the most part, I shop alone these days. I will occasionally shop with DH but he doesn't like to do it nearly as long or as often as I do. My very favorite shopping partner, DD, is coming into town next weekend and shopping is definitely on our list of things to do. When we shop together, we have a few rules. 1.We always wait and go into the dressing room together. 2. you have to show everything you try on and 3.you have to try on at least one outfit the other person puts together for you (this last one is really fun). Can't wait for her to get here.
My current shopping fantasy is an all day closed-door event at Nordies with all of you.

chelle has the best idea-- shop alone, and then gather for the "show me what you found" party the best of both worlds!
