Perfect! If you ever need a foot stunt double Angie, I'm here for you

Wow! I missed the original blog post, but since I am trying to lower my heel height while recovering from the broken ankle, these are just the thing! Just ordered them and hope they work out for me as well as they have for you!

Angie, thanks for the shoe recommendation and also thanks to Milehighstyle. Now it sounds like maybe the shoes will work, plus being suede they are stretchier than plain leather.
We shall see...

HAH, Laura. You have the job.

Joyce and Mary, I hope the pumps work out for you too.

My Emmas just like Angie's came in today! FWIW, I ordered a 6.5W in the Munro Lacy that Angie featured last week, and a 7 in these. I was worried because I have major foot issues like hallux rigidus meaning my right foot doesn't flex much at all and even 2" heels can give me problems. I also have bunions and I think I'm getting a bunionette. My foot is wider than Angie's and, for example, the SE Petty and a few of the Munros that work for so many of you don't work for me.

I am flabbergasted that these heels don't feel too high. The shoes cut above my bunions (mostly) and really don't feel too narrow the way most medium width shoes do on me. They show a bit of toe cleavage by my last two little toes, and my toes are darn short. Despite my chunky legs, I have tiny heels and a relatively small ankle over a low volume foot. The ankle buckles on these shoes work for me; they are often too big on other shoes I've tried.

I will have to wear them around the house on a warmer afternoon before I make a 100% commitment.

FWIW, the Munro Lacy in purple is fab, fab, fab and probably the most comfortable sandal I've tried and is very attractive on my flat feet. Due to the style which gives minimal support, I'm not sure how well they would work for super heavy duty touristy walking.

WOOOHOOO. Excellent news, Donna. It's amazing how well this ankle strap pump adjusts to all sorts of feet.

I also wanted to add that the Emma is extremely well balanced. There's a YouTube video out there (maybe Inge posted it awhile back?) that shows that you can tell if a heel is balanced by thwacking it lightly on the side. If it tips over or wobbles, it isn't balanced. These babies are stable! I was astounded when I tried the test since these heels are skinnier than any I've ever tried, much less worn. I am Ms. Clog, so I couldn't believe I didn't walk like a preteen trying her first heels.

I need to give that brand a try again. I ordered a pair of sole society shoes on the past and was very disappointed. They seemed promising but were SO stiff and badly cut/sharp that I got blisters every time I wore them. Maybe it varies from shoe to shoe.
