Hmm. I will stick with what I'm lusting after shoe-wise. Specifically, these beauties, which are not going to be in my possession anytime soon at this price :

I have really filled a huge gap in my shoe wardrobe this year. I seriously mean it. I have already mentioned that less than a year ago, I was wearing these black sneakers literally every day for at least four months. I had a few other pairs of orphan sandals and assorted other shoes that went with nothing. I came into YLF knowing nothing about shoes, and now I think I have a much better handle on how to buy shoes and make them work within the kind of style I'm trying to achieve. I have also gotten myself a bunch of boots, and my realization is that I really love that boot-skinny jeans uniform and want to make that a kind of signature.
So there's no other specific shoe I'm currently craving, but as we head into spring I'm thinking I will need warm-weather shoes. I'd like to try out Converse to see if they give my feet good support. I don't have any nude sandals or other types of nude shoes, so hopefully I'll spot something good. A few sandals (very casual and boho) would probably round everything out.
Oh, I also saw these and love them, but man, why do flats have to be so expensive?:

And in retrieving the above link, I just spotted these lovelies, which are so wicked exorbitant and probably wouldn't fit my wide feet well anyway:

Jewell, you didn't ask for advice so take it with a grain of salt, but Born is a brand I've had a lot of success variety-, looks- and comfort-wise and they can be pretty well-priced on zappos, 6pm.com and amazon, etc.
Again, grain of salt, but with your breezy, chic, gamine style, I could see you in beautiful ballet flats. My problem has been finding this type of shoe that is supportive and comfortable (I had always assumed flat=comfortable since I have a hard time in heels, but it's definitely not the case!) I did get some super-comfy Stuart Weitzman Giveable flats, but the bad thing is their price. I'm still kind of amazed I didn't return mine. Someone here has found beautiful ballet flats at Target that are extremely reasonable; if they're comfortable that would be an awesome deal.
Shoes...a challenge, but when they work, they're so worth the effort! Says me who would be completely unrecognizable to the me from 18 months ago.
