Soft wide pants- considering

I don't neeeed them, and wouldn't wear til probably November, but tempted by these:

They say dry clean only, but think they'd be ok to handwash with that fabric content?
Not super high PUPY value- guessing I'd wear them March, April, November, December- 50-70 degree weather. Would wear to work though.

Viscose and Rayon is a very delicate mix, gets very weak when wet. I like the horse jacquard, unusual.

So problematic in rain then? My linen pants aren't good for rain either cause they're light colored. Our transitional weather (spring especially) is often rainy.

I’m not sure why, but I can’t open the link. If you like linen but the light color is a problem, why not get them in a darker color?

Unless your viscose item is clearly labeled as washable, with viscose washing instructions you shouldn't attempt machine or hand washing it. At The Laundress, we often get the question, “can I hand wash rayon that says dry clean only?” The answer is no. Dry clean only, in this case, means dry clean only.

I personally had a rayon/viscose top that came apart in the washing machine hence I am aware of how flimsy it can be.

I’d be hesitant about that fabric blend, viscose is fussy! Great colour and fun print, though. I think a pair of saffron/ochre wide leg pants would fit easily into your closet and prove very useful (I have a pair in wide wale corduroy — colder climate — from a few years ago and they are magical winter pants that turn just about anything into an outfit). I’d jot it down on a wishlist and keep looking.

Cute pants, but yeah that fabric blend is super fussy. I’m think that as this trend moves more mainstream you’ll be able to find something that checks all your boxes.

Rayon stabilizes viscose. Both natural fibres! I also vote dry clean.

Pants make a Huge difference to me in warmth. Even maxi skirts are intolerable on very hot days here! In general, the only time it's below 80 for 3-4 months is before 9am, and then we have 50-100% humidity too. I'm getting in and out of a hot car all day, not inside in a/c at all.
Still debating, cause they'd really be perfect in my wardrobe, but having to dry clean would make me wear them less than low maintenance pants.
