I just noticed on another forum the explosion of "sock booties" on the market. The last time I remember seeing the term was on Suz's post about indoor booties (or at least that's how I understood them).

Are these new? Are there lower-heeled, reasonably priced versions? I am starting to realize that the reason I like cropped pants in summer more than winter is because of the slim line of the "alluring ankle" that is visible in bare legs, but not so much in normal boots and booties. I am thinking the sock bootie, with its ankle-con fit (ha, ha), would fix this..

Thoughts? Edification? Help? Thanks!
