The 7-wears statistic cited in the article jenanded linked is so alarming to me. I could understand for an evening gown tor other formalwear hat only gets worn once or twice a year -- but for everyday clothes like jeans and t-shirts, the idea that people are only getting a week's worth of use out of these things before they end up in a landfill is pretty disheartening.
