Love the idea of the meeting place Tam - gotta make a mental note of that for pictures! Also found out that the Spring Fashion Festival is on the same weekend which could be quite cool to see.

Last time we also designated someone to write up something for the blog post and I think a few of us brought cameras as well. Who wants to put their hand up for writing the post?

Hi Everyone!

Re, the write up: Bags not me! My grammar is atrocious. I also struggle to write anything terribly serious these days. Are you volunteering Karen?

I am really starting to get excited about our meet now. I can't believe that in just over a week (give a couple of days) we'll all be catching up. I can't wait to meet you all in person!

Just promise me that you'll all pretend not to notice that I've just had a dodgy haircut and have managed to somehow put on about 5kgs since last year's catch up. (Can you tell I'm feeling a tad over-sensitive at the moment? I'm suddenly feeling very old. <sigh!>)

Righto, sorry about that - whinge over!

OK, important question.... What are you thinking of wearing? I don't want to be over or under dressed. I'm starting to think of my wardrobe and have decided I want to pack light (so I can avoid checking luggage get in and out of the airport ASAP). I'm also scared that I'll be the scruffy friend amongst a bunch of stylish icons!

At this stage I'm thinking of my Jag denim knee length skirt, black patterned opaque tights, boots and probably a black knit top? (I'm figuring it will be cold by Brissy standards and short sleeves will be a no-no.)

Happy to attempt a write up only if no one else wants to ... Karen would you like to do it?

Katiepea you are so gorgeous, please don't be self conscious. I think maybe we will all feel a little nervous meeting and I confess I have been thinking about my outfit for the day too. I think we should all come as we are comfortable, remembering we (hopefully) will be trying on clothing all day lol.

KP you suggested outfit sounds very stylish. I might pick up some tips from you on how to wear a denim skirt. I have a great pencil style one that I never wear cos I just don't seem to know what to do with it

Depending on the weather I am thinking of wearing either skinny jeans or leggings, boots and a tunic ... maybe a jacket if its cold. This is a bit of go to combination for me and I find I can reasonably comfortably try some items on without removing my leggings/jeans (yes Im lazy).

I will get a bit of an itinerary and everyone's details to you in the next few days.

BTW I have a friend who would like to join us.. is that ok? You may know I only recently moved to Bendigo and she is someone I have been getting to know over the last few months. She is lovely and a stylish dresser to boot.. she should fit right in.

xxx

Hi Deborah! Oh, I feel so much better knowing that someone else is feeling a tad "sensitive" about appearance and what to wear.

Your outfit combos sound wonderful - I'm sure you will come up with something gorgeous!

Of course you should bring your friend, I'll be bold and say I have no doubts that the others would agree. Tell her to come 'round here and say hi!

Anyway, I'd better get going - Master 4 is excited about going to do the grocery shopping for some reason. (I think it's because he *thinks* he's getting Tiny Teddies - oh to be so excited over a $2 box of biscuits!)

Thanks KP, my friend will be thrilled to be made so welcome. Lol... Tiny Teddies are big in our house too!

I'm worried my handbags arn't up to scratch!! In photos of previous Meets there is always the photo of the shoes, and the photo of the bags... the pressure (just kidding)

Deborah the write up is all yours! Are we all bringing cameras?

Kirstie your haircut is gorgeous, I wish I had the guts to do something drastic like that but I'm trying to grow mine out instead. I've had my share of dodgy haircuts since our last meet so I can sympathise. My main priority when shopping is to be comfortable and not overheat, I tend to get hot when I shop so I always tend to put on less. At the moment I'm thinking of skinnies and flats with a jersey top and blazer, with a scarf for some warmth.

I just had a squiz at the forecast and Saturday is supposed to be rain with a low of 8 and high of 13 - ideal weather for shopping!

Karen maybe we could all somehow collaborate on a post... could be fun Yes I think we should all bring cameras if we can. Im not good with a camera but I will try to remember to bring it, I will have my Iphone too. And yes perfect weather for shopping. Im getting very excited.

Been doing some additional research today and it seems that the better DFO in the city is actually the newer one at South Wharf. Apparently DFO Spencer Street is no longer officially a DFO and a friend who works in the city said the one at South Wharf is far superior... so if it's ok with everyone can we do South Wharf instead of Spencer Street.

Will get some details, contact numbers etc out to everyone on email tomorrow.

Only 7 more sleeps!!

OMG it's going to be 13 degrees! We just had over 20 this weekend... why????

And I'm feeling everyone who is worried about what to wear. A lot of my favourites have been relegated to a "to be repaired or replaced" section of my wardrobe...

Looking very much forward to it though!

ETA my priority will of course be to dress decently enough to get shop assistants will be nice to me, and comfy enough to walk around all day.

Sent you all an email last night. Did you get it? Apologies, work was crazy today and I haven't checked my emails yet.

Goodness me, will you all forgive me for shivering? I may have spent 95% of my life in Canberra, but I sure have acclimatised to QLD these past couple of years!

I am seriously thinking I will need to wear a daggy, but practical thermal and also wear my old, but reasonably warm coat. (Yes, in case you are wondering, I *have* morphed into my Nanna. Told you I was feeling old lately! ;-))

Deborah, I've received your itinerary and it looks very exciting. I can't wait!

My only issue is I have put on so much weight that my skinny jeans are, ummm, too skinny, so my outfit options are sadly lacking. Oh well. When I get back to Brisneyland, a gym membership is #1 on my to do list!

Ah 13 degrees is nothing, perfect indoors/shopping weather! I have all my clothes organised already, just have to do a last trial run to make sure it's all going to work and maybe a possible back up plan.

Deborah got your email but havent got word on my home computer so will read it at work. All you ladies worried about your outfits, I know you'll look super stylish (even if we have to take photos after you've brought something fab!)

Karen, you have inspired me, I'm going to stop "fluffing" and get organized for the weekend

KP can I tell you a secret? My black skinny jeans have an elasticized waist...how nanna is that!? I have never told anyone this ...they are sooooo comfy...don't tell anyone!

Seriously ladies, just be comfy and don't stress about outfits;). I am very confident with what we have learnt from Angie as our mentor that even our casual shopping outfits will look good. I love Karen's suggestion of photos in our new purchases...too funny.

Only two more sleeps!

Thanks for a lovely day everyone. It was so nice to meet everyone in person. Hope you are all happy with your purchases, I think we chose well. Maybe next time we should all overnight and do dinner the night before we shop

Glad you guys had a wonderful day and looking forward to reading about it!
