I noticed that when I placed my order - or rather, when I got the confirmation email. It's strange that they can't just wait until they ship to charge your card, like they used to do. Wonder what precipitated that change...
I can't see it affecting too many people that much, though, unless you order a ton of stuff and run up against your credit limit. Even if you receive a bill with a certain amount, you only have to pay what's current when it's due, not when the bill was sent. I suppose if your due date is within the 7 days, it might get tricky, but I bet if you called the card customer service they would waive any late fees (just guessing, not affiliated).
