Warning: a general lament follows...

I took my (faux) BF jeans and my favorite trouser jeans to the dry cleaner at the same time, one for hemming, one to have the pockets re-sewn shut. The trouser jeans have vertical slash pockets in the front that had been sewn shut before, but the stitching was coming out and I wanted them closed up again so they wouldn't gape open.

The BFs were being hemmed very short since I intend to roll them: 26" inseam.

Yesterday I tried to wear the trouser jeans for the first time since picking them up from the tailor, and... they hemmed those too.

I almost had an Angie-style apoplexy when I put them on and saw the wide legs way above my ankles.

The moral of the story is: never send your tailoring to a place where you have a language barrier.
