So I want a caftan

Is this crazy.

I think I'm channeling my Mom - When I was growing up. She would come home and change into a caftan as her at home comfy clothes. This is becoming very appealing to me as my comfy clothes for home.

She used to have several of them for all seasons. The one I'm looking at is in the picture below. I want one to be funky and dramatic that is how I remember my Mom with them.

Ha, I think your Mom and I were from the same era. I loved my caftans for lounge wear, especially in the summer. Cool, breezy, and a touch of the exotic--not a feeling I get from my sweats or yoga pants.

In the 70s my mum rocked a caftan - she wore them in summer round the house.

They sell cheap ones in the Walmart sleepwear department. I have a couple. They are great for when you have a sunburn.

In India, we wear something similar called a housecoat - I wear mine all the time in place of a robe.

My DMIL wore these in the 70's after work. They always looked bright and cheerful. I had forgotten about them.

Okay - I'm not crazy and I think my Mothers day gift to myself in memory of my wonderful Mama is to get a caftan and 100% rock it as comfy lounge wear in the evening.

@Frannieb you ate not cray,cray! Great and fashionable way to remember your momma. Just don't wear it to the supermarket with curlers and a hair net ok. Like my mom in the 80's

Great idea, especially in the heat. So breezy. I wear a loose maxi which is kind of along the same lines.
