So I have a Shoebuy gift card... and I'm eyeing burgundy boots

They emailed me a survey when they last revamped their site, and now I have a shiny new $20 gift card to Shoebuy - yay!!

These Dr. Martens Pascal boots could be a contender to replace my 5-inch sitting-at-the-office boots. I know I did not link to shoebuy, but the pics at Zappos are better, and you get to see the review - it says they run narrow, which is good because most Docs are too wide for me. Love the croc texture! Wee bit concerned that the flat heel would not be as versatile as a low heel.

I also like these green Naya Saffron boots because they come in a narrow width. The reviews say that the shaft is wide, but the measurement says 13.5" which seems narrow to me.

Anyone have experience with the Docs Pascal style? Do you think either of these is worth trying out?

I like both for you Rae. I guess its hard to know until you try them on. FYI- I ordered the Nayas, last season in the knee high length. I think they might be wider than 13.5' . My calves are 15 and 15 1/2 inches respectively - Yes, I do have a 1/2 inch difference between both calves - and they fit me fine. I returned because I did not care for the wool insert.

I don't know about these in particular but have a dark red pair of boots and wore them more than most of my boots for two years. They seemed to add a bit of color for the darker winter outfits. They were much more versatile than I had thought they would be.

Zap, thanks for the note about the calf size. I wonder if that zipper helps them adjust? Hm, maybe it's best not to be distracted by a different color.

Dianthus, that is great to know about red boots. I am so tempted by these - they will either be super cool, or look like big clown feet on me...

I like both of those boots. I love the textured burgundy. I hope to get some burgundy boots this winter. BTW, I searched and found some 10% off coupons for shoebuy. I'm guessing you probably already did that, but thought I'd mention it in case...

Oo, both quite different but very cool and very you. I can see how the Naya's would fit with your outfits, but how would you style the Docs?

And regarding burgundy boots -- I keep envisioning those Pliner Danee boots from NAS for you

Jem, great minds think alike! Alas, when I tried it told me that the GC can't be combined with promos.

Cathy, I totally tried on those Danees! They were simultaneously too wide and a terror to pull onto my feet, so a no go on those. Saddend me greatly.

I was thinking of wearing the Docs under straightlegs, with shorts/tights/dresses/skirts, and hopefully with boyfriend jeans.

If you're looking to replace the burgundy boots that you currently have, the second pair looks like it would be a better replacement stylistically for the way that you use your current pair.
