Had to visit the apple store in our local mall, and walked past all the retail stores with an iron will. (Only saw the Jcrew perfect shirts I mentioned earlier because the boy needed pants, alas, JCrew has switched to fall.)

But dang, I want to look at things online!

Must... resist... temptation!

Was gonna say don't carry much cash and leave your credit card at home when you go to the mall, but that wouldn't fly at the Apple Store, LOL

I returned a bunch of things yesterday (bought a long time ago - yay for open return policies at LL Bean and Hanna Andersson) at the Big Mall (the one with every store imaginable) and was tempted to just spend a little (since I returned a lot) but managed not to even buy a snack. I had to come home and fill a few online shopping carts just to relax, but I did not buy anything except new tires for my car (oh joy).

IK, always remember you are in good company. I'm sure at any given time there are at least 3 billion women (or something like that) that cannot, will not, or should not shop!
Just think of the satisfaction that comes from wearing what you already have and actually (gulp) wearing things out. This is coming from someone with their Nordstrom cart sitting full:( But... I am trying to be very discerning.
I have really found this sight to be a huge help in making wiser choices. Keep on!

How I understand the feeling, IK!! But you know what, Spina has some great knits at super prices online right now!!

I discovered a few things about them, when I checked them out. Re.set Spina is in fact exclusive to Yoox, cos it's their shorthand for 'last year's designs from Spina recycled.' Clever, huh? Spina is available to those who want this year's latest happening, bang-on-trend stuff at premium prices at outlets like les Galeries Lafayette or some small Italian boutiques. But guess what? Yoox has come to Europe in a BIG way, and I don't plan on paying full whack again for my Spina knits. It's definitely Re.set Spina from now on!! Thanks so much for posting about them in the first place!:-)

What would scare you straight? Maybe watching a few episodes of Hoarding: Buried Alive? You could put your closet in rainbow order during the commercials. Oh, wait. You wear mostly black and white. Nvrmnd.

IK, if it helps, I think a lot of us are proud of knowing someone with your willpower and superbly stocked closet, and in awe of your dedication to the transformation right now. (Currently, my own closet is threatening to burst into a paean to elastics and jersey knits! So I for one am especially in awe.)

You are being an inspiration to us all! I am trying so hard to not impulse buy! I mean REALLY hard to buy only things that I know I need and work well with my tiny wardrobe but it is indeed hard. Particularly online shopping. I can resist the mall but staying away from the computer is impossible! I also fill my cart at various online stores for relaxation.

Comisserating here. I am having fun switching out office clothes for less corporate counterparts ATM, but once that is settled, I really need to stop buying things for myself. I really think the only way I'll do it is to STAY BUSY. Otherwise the thrill of the hunt will pull me back into my favorite pass-time...
