I ordered these black stretch trousers from Anthro and love them...except for one thing: the seams that run down the front of the leg, which look so nice and slimming? They run down the back too — and I feel that seam, like a bump in the fabric that runs down the backs of my legs. I put them on, intending to wear them today, but it annoyed me enough after 10 minutes that I’m not encouraged at the thought of wearing them all day. I changed into my old black flare jeans and put the trousers aside to try again, but I fear I will need to return them. I’m so bummed! The fit is so good, the length is right, and the vibe is right too. Not too officewear-ish.

Anthro has another pair of black pants that were not bad on me, but they have side-entry patch pockets which are not the best look on me — this style is more streamlined and flattering.

Big sigh. I have been on the lookout for a good pair of not-too-dressy black trousers with a little stretch and a not-too-dramatic flare or moderate wide leg. It’s not easy to find a good fit for me, and in a full length, at a price I’m willing to pay.

If you have any suggestions, I’m open to hearing them.
