I spent some time at the orthopedic clinic today after a bad fall this morning while walking the dogs. My elbow isn't broken, fortunately, but it really hurts to bend. I was wearing snow boots. It was snowing, but also icy under the snow. I was wearing the Sorels with the black sole. The white sole is a very old pair of Sorels, and the brown are waterproof Timberland boots that I've been wearing a lot.

For snow boot experts: Do you think it would have made any difference wearing either of the other boots? Do you have boots with a better sole you would recommend? A friend recommended Yak Trax. She said she just leaves them on a pair of boots.

By the way, a very kind young woman came out if her house to see if I was all right. I really appreciated her concern.
