I do like these outfits but not sure I'm a sneaker person. I'll sit it out for now.

I adore sneakers, and it's nice to see more and more styles that are not for gear coming to the stores. Until it becomes saturated and then I'll want something else. I've had sneakers and pointy toe ballet flats on my shopping list for spring this year.

Definitely my shoe of choice except i like mine colorful and bonus points if they light up lol

It's funny, for most of my teens and twenties the only socially acceptable sneaker (at least in my milieu) was Chucks. There's so much diversity now, it's astounding. I caved to the trend and ordered a pair of Stan Smiths this week, out of curiosity and adoration for this botanical motif: http://www.adidas.com/us/stan-.....A7655.html

I don't need to be a white sneaker lemming. I will have to see the colours IRL to know if they'll work with my wardrobe, and if they're not extremely comfortable I won't keep, but I have high hopes. If I keep, this will be my SECOND pair of sneakers with wild graphics (I have a pair of purple Chucks with pink apples all over them from a couple years ago). Different colour palette, so I don't think they'll split wears?

This is very encouraging. I tore a tendon in my left foot about a year ago and was told I will probably need to wear sneakers for the rest of my life. That is, if I don't have truly awful foot surgery. So, for about nine months, I've been wearing sneakers nonstop. That's after I got out of the cast, and then the boot. Ugh!

At first I was miserable, but then I began to look around. Here in Manhattan people are wearing sneakers everywhere. Even on very fashionable Madison Avenue. Even to upscale restaurants. And even to the Metropolitan Opera. Of course everyone isn't wearing sneakers, but about 90% of the population wear then during the day.

What I'm coming to realize is that switching from sneakers back to "regular" shoes is unpleasant for most people. Sneakers are just too comfortable. They are also safe and easy to walk in, and are what your podiatrist or orthopedic surgeon would recommend. Of course many people don't care about that... until it's too late.

I'm having a lot of fun creating outfits that look good with sneakers. Many are very casual, but some are not. It's an interesting challenge.

Interesting. I'm drawn to sneakers but can only see myself wearing them around the house or for running errands. I don't think they'll make the cut into the smart- casual part of my wardrobe.

I haven't been interested to buy a pair yet, I know they are comfortable, safe and healthier for your feet but... They are like, what's the word ...meh to me.

I love the juxtaposition of sneakers in outfits . Slip -ons, my Nike's, a floral pair and the fuchsia ones I added last year should keep me going. I do like the idea of adding in a pair of white ones...

It's what lisaP said, this seems to be one item where you really must stay on or ahead of the curve. I have a hard time pulling off looks like shown on the mannequin. I guess bc I'm not so fashion forward/trendy, and my body type is soooo far from what's shown. I feel consipcuous in some ways? Can't put my finger on it. I went down the rabbit hole of rose gold sneaks yesterday after seeing this thread, but am not certain they're right for me or my style. Holding off for now, I'll probably decide they're for me when the trend's long gone LOL.
