Thanks, Fabbers! I appreciate all of your opinions. It is so helpful to hear your viewpoints. I find the two tone look of the Nike very appealing and think it would be great for fall. I also like the simplicity of the white Addidas. I’ve seen them paired with jeans and black bottoms but perhaps that’s too much contrast for fall/winter? Should optic white shoes be reserved for spring and summer?
@JAileen: Thanks for bringing up the weight. I hadn’t thought about that and how funny that these are cycling through our wardrobes again, eh? I had white, leather K-swiss in high school/college which I wore to death. They were a little heavy as I recall. I also remember the Nike Cortes in jr. high. Those were the height of fashion back then
@Linda: Thanks. You are right--the Nikes are streamlined. That’s what drew me to them. So sleek!
@Suz: Lol! I was hoping to avoid a return
@Shannon and Firecracker: You are right about the Addidas and dresses. I’ve seen lots of examples of that style of shoe on various pinboards and on our Angie too. I really like the look but I’m not sure if I have more than one or two dresses that I would even try pairing with a sneaker. Honestly, I’m also not sure that I could even pull it off comfortably.
@lisap: Love the Stan Smiths. I haven’t found them in my size either I thought the Superstar was the next best thing.
@Emily: Thanks!
@deb: Thanks. I haven’t had much luck with Puma. They seem too narrow and long for my feet. I do love that style though--I tried it on at the Rack earlier in the year.
@Susie: Lol! I can’t wait to see you hop on the sneaker train! Thanks for chiming in.
