I'm super excited and nervous all at once. This summer I discovered, thanks to Charming Charlie (!), that I love rose gold. It is a beautiful metal for my skin tone. Strange in clothing, but wonderful for subtle accessories.

Since then, I've been haphazardly keeping an eye out for rose gold, particularly in footwear. I've been feeling the need for some neutral shoes lately. I got a pair of flats recently, but most of the rose gold seems to be a summer thing. Then I ran across these Cole Haan Air Juliana 45 online. They ticked off so many boxes for me. Low heel, so I can wear them all day. Pointy toe, to keep updated. Rose gold metallic, the perfect nude-to-me color that's also interesting in itself. And there was only one pair left, 3 sizes too small!

That was early last week. Yesterday I came back to the site, and lo and behold, there was another pair - a half size larger than I usually take. I got them right away! This is brave for me, especially since I didn't consider them very long. But I have high hopes. My feet are pretty easy to fit, especially with low heels like this. A half size large is probably a good idea anyway with pointy toes (and my toes are somewhat blunt). And if the color is truly rose gold, like it appears on all of my computer screens, it will be perfect.

What was your biggest last-pair success?
