Smaller bra sizes - anyone tried this Wacoal model?

My bra search is never ending . . . I find an 8 out of 10 after half a dozen tries and then give up for a few months. Then I begin anew.
I had my fingers ready to buy on this but thought I'd ask sizing of other 30 band ladies who may have tried it first. http://www.herroom.com/b-tempt.....-bra.shtml For reference, 30D is often too small but 30DD too big. Argh!) I was debating buying this in both 30D and DD, maybe even in 32C just to compare. I'm not a fan of padding normally, but this looks to be a smooth silhouette overall.

I haven't tried this particular model but the one Wacoal I had was really small in the cup size for me. (I'd have had to size up but didn't keep because I didn't like the padding which was more than expected.) Band size was fine.

Mo - I haven't tried this particular model, but in general - I love the Wacoal bras - they are the best!

In general, I find Wacoal cups run smallish to normal. I take a 32DD in Wacoal, same as other brands, but I find most bands looser than I prefer. My current favorite is Le Mystere's Dream Tisha because the band starts tighter than normal. In Le Mystere, I take a 32D.

Le Mystere's Tisha 955 is carried in 30 C, D, and E. I have not tried that particular model, but I think the reviews say that this model's band also runs tighter than other brands. It is sold by Zappos. I recently searched on Amazon, and Le Mystere bras there go for about $40 which is tons cheaper than list price.

A girl at work was just raving about her new Wacoal, and she is hard to fit, too. Dunno what model, though.

I remember a good ten years ago, WAY back when I was still wearing 34B's, that the Wacoal I bought was the best fit, even in that very wrong size for me.
Donna, thanks but the Dream Tisha does not fit my shallow breasts - looks like cereal bowls stuck on my chest. Terrible lol.
I think I'll give it a try in 30DD. Will report back.

I want so badly to wear Wacoal, because the designs are so beautiful. But I find there is always this extra pucker of fabric either right at the nip, or too much fabric at the upper part of the bra. I have a pretty full bust, but I'm short. If I wear a Wacoal bra, chances are the top of the bra will come up to the base of my collarbone. I think these bras are made for taller girls.

My new infatuation is Marlie Dekkers. I recently bought a bra, and it fits like a glove. I'll definitely be buying more in the future, I love the sci-fi sort of aspect of the design.

I need some 32C or Ds, and my problem is a very shallow upper breast. So I think I need to look into some balconette or demi styles, as a full cup does the whole cereal bowl thing

I am a huge fan of Wacoal bras and I care for them as I do for a newborn. I recently went down one size in the band and treated myself to four new ones. A pricey proposition for sure, but they will be looking good for years, And yes, even my older ones in the larger size still fit, but it was time to replace those worn under knits and the strapless ones.

used to wear the wacoal 30b or C; but about 3 years ago, they became hard to get in my town (the store that was special ordering them closed), and i figured it was time for a professional fitting. ended up with 32c from natori. love the fit.

annaj, just to be clear, my chest is only 34" around - don't be fooled by the letters. A 28E is smaller than a 34B!
Ceit, yes, the shallow breast fit makes things tricky.
Kkards, I own a 32C Natori as well But I know my 32's are 'just cutting it' and not the true size I should be in. As I mentioned, I start to really try to find my right size and get frustrated and often end up in a 32C, sometimes cutting and sewing the band smaller myself.
I also have a 32C+ Natori Zen that I wear. It's much closer to my correct size. But my 30E Simone Perele is just a touch large, while the next size down 30D was laughably too small. Sigh.

Wacoal is what I've been wearing and is generally a great choice in comfort and fabrication, Mo. I am due to go bra shopping, too, and you listed all the reasons why I keep putting it off. I get in the dressing room and so many assortments of sizes, wire or wireless, padded, not padded and then something is off just a tad and I give up for another day.

I know this is great website, but I'm more inclined to go IRL, and then when I find my dream bra, I can then stock up with online purchases.

Marlie Dekkers, LBD? I'll look into that one.

Please keep us posted as I'm in that size range, too.

Will do, Vicki. Since I don't live anywhere near a mall, I can't do IRL shopping for them, which makes it even more of a headache. Of course, finding 30DD even in a city mall isn't all that easy either Mailing returns is my constant nightmare lol. I went through Belk for mine (on sale).

I have this bra and I love it ! Yeah, it is a push up but well, for me, I welcome it! I wear a 30C in it I think. I have a natori and it is a 30D. I share the same shallow chest issue and finding bras is such a process. My bust is about 33. Oh yeah, a 30C or D is NOT big busted LOL!

Thanks Giddyup for the info! I am not usually a padded bra fan but I like the idea of the scalloped edges, built in underwire that won't poke, and fully interchangeable straps. I plan on buying a few colored straps off eBay if the bra is a keeper

I agree that the best way is to actually get fitted at a B&M store, but if you can't do that you might find the Bra Database website useful.

The site gives you actual measurements for bands and cups, along with comparable bras and reviews. It might help you narrow down possibilities.

It's a really cool site, Gaylene, but last time I visited there wasn't really much of anything for smaller breasted women. Of course it is on us to put up the reviews! I think part of the problem is that it is so difficult to find well -fitting bras when you are on the smaller side that a lot of women just give up. A friend of mine who is small simply buys her bras at the Gap and doesn't care if they fit or not.

mo, have you tried this site, http://www.lulalu.com. they only carry small size bra's. its been a while since i ordered from them, but they have a fairly wide selection.

I'm usually a 32dd or ddd, so bigger than you, but I've never met a Wacoal I didn't love. I have all my fullness on the bottom and outside edges (basically my armpit) and their bras tend to push me back in and up. They also hold me tight, which I need.

The shape of you can be just as important as the size of you.... Like everything, I guess.

Coming out of lurkdom to say that I've recently found several Wacoal styles at Steinmart of all places. I've found a couple that I love in my usual size, 32DD. I'm not sure if they went down to 30, but at less that $30 each having the band shortened would still be a good deal. Good luck.
