Slouchy skinnies on a bigger bum

I am curious, can larger sized bottomed people like me wear the slouchy skinny or boyfriend looks? I feel they just make me look and feel bigger. Or, maybe I just do not know the correct tops to put with them.

I won't touch those styles with a 10-foot pole... but I'm an 16/18 on the bottom.

So am I, but I think w/a longer top, they look great! Im sure other people will know better than I, hoping they will chime in.... but Ive seen that look on some larger ladies that look smashing! I think a great top, good in length, and fab shoes/boots make it work

Taking notes--I have plenty of what Beyonce so eloquently termed "jelly" (heard that song while consignment shopping today and it had me smothering chuckles the entire time) and I wondered about this exact issue when wearing my new BF jeans for the first time.

I think it's all a matter of proportion. You can wear anything at any size if the proportions are right.

I agree with Suz, proportion is key, however I do think some figure flattering has to be sacrificed with some of these styles. I will not be wearing boyfriend jeans but I am keen to try on some larger sized skinnies and see how the slouchy skinny concept works for me. It's a matter of trying it out, check all angles, if you like then you are good to go, if it does t make you happy then pass on it.
