Slouchy printed pants ETA three other items

I never thought I would want to try printed or slouchy pants in the past, but I like the two below I've just seen while browsing. Should I try one of them? Or am I crazy and this would be one big shopping mistake?

Which one do you like better? Do they look like pjs? I think the second one maybe does, am I right? I'm no expert when it comes to pattern.

I know that they are cropped, but they might be longer on me.

I think someone with lighter-coloured hair, like Denise, would totally rock the second pair; but for your colouring and your boho leanings, I ADORE the first one's print. I'd totally wear it myself, too. Hope it fits well and long enough for you!

I think #1 looks cool - I'm not brave enough to rock the slouchy pant look but I can totally imagine you in these.

I'm not crazy about the second pair - they do indeed remind me of pajama bottoms! But I quite like the first pair. They have a bit of a tribel thing going on with the pattern which is also trending this season.

Shannon, I thought so too, but I wasn't sure.

I've seen some more things on sale on the site that I thought I could order with the pants. Do any of these look good to you or could have potential? If not then I'll just try the pants.

I like the first photo in your original post best, and I ADORE all three items in your new photos. As long as the fit is good, all three of things would be real workhorses for you.

With new styles, I think you never know until you try!

Thanks Beth Ann! Unfortunately I don't think I can order all three of them AND keep them. Too expensive. But I guess chances are high that they won't all work out.

DEFINITELY try those microcheck pants! And the coat might be great if it fits right, or awful if it doesn't sit just so --- but worth a try, as looks very versatile should it work out.

I'm not so sure of the last tunic though --- that style is often a horror to fit on apples and pears, because by the time you've accommodated hips or belly, you've got a seriously blowsy tent up top; plus the pattern really *has* to sit just so in order to flatter, or they'll widen your hips or minimize your bust in very odd ways.

Thanks Manidipa! Yes, I think you're right about that tunic - I didn't think about the placement of the pattern. It also looks fairly straight in the picture.

I'm ordering them now, I just hope the sizes work out. I used the size charts, but the resulting sizes are different to my normal ones.

Love #1 from the first post and the pants in post 2. I would need to see the coat on you as I am not sure the proportions would be great. I am not sure the tunic would be your friend even though it is very pretty.

I really like that you are considering options you wouldn't have a short while ago. It shows you are gaining confidence which is great.

Thanks Claire! Yes, I ordered the pants #1, the checked pants and the coat. I left the tunic out.

Thanks Dianthus. The coat is of a similar shape to my other coat, so maybe it'll work. But it's true, one can never tell beforehand. And yes, I'd also say that I'm more confident now than maybe last year. I definitely feel the need to experiment a bit more than in the past.
