Slouchy Pants Styling Ideas for Una (and others who have)

So y'all know I'm about to venture into the world of slouchy pants once mine are back from being shortened. I want to be able to style them in several ways to get my money's worth, so found a couple of ideas the web. Thought I'd post them for anyone else who might be looking for ideas:

Thanks Shannon. I watched the video and read the article. Seems the trick is to keep the top fitted and streamlined especially around the waist. I saw a nice white Louben suit jacket today but didn't try it on. I think I may have to go back and try it tomorrow. The soft grey slouchy cropped pants, with the navy fitted Tahari shirt and the white jacket (shoe suggestions welcome) could be a good outfit.

Did you see the Louben jacket at Winners? That would be a beautiful combination. It also seems like a bit of a heel or at the very least, a feminine shoe is key to working with this style of pants. Silver or grey shoes would look beautiful with your trousers. I think black would be too harsh against the soft colour. And of course nude goes with everything. Are you thinking flats or heels?

Do you think my new animal print Docs could work with my slouchy trousers or would they be too clunky with them?

I think you would have to try. I have long feet so have a tendency to stick to shoes that blend. The exceptions are my heeled red shoes and green Miz Mooz wedges.

I saw this outfit on Karla's Closet. I like the half tuck with the slouchies too.

Thank you for posting these! It is useful.

Gosh... low hung, rolled slouchy pants... my youth all over again! I spent most of my adult life avoiding this silouhette. But now I can see how it could work with softer fabrics and the right footwear.

I love the high heeled Loeffler Randall bootie! Totally out of my buying power range.

But I really don't like how the Nanette Lapore pants hang low below the tummy in the video's second outift. Even on this super thin, tall model it looks bad. I want to pull her pants up!

I haven't really given too much thought to my slouchy trousers yet, just figured on wearing fitted, tucked, or semi-tucked tops with them. But I just realized that mine are a bit sheer so this may not work. Hmm....
