looking at slouchy on pinterest. Looks like they were supposed to trend last year, however I hadn't seen them anywhere. Of course I wasn't looking either.

I now have a pair in pale sage. I think I will wear them a lot, as they are a change from skinnies, soft and comfortable. I bought them a size smaller and they fit perfectly. The main thing I have discovered is that there is slouchy -just a loose fit with some slight slouch at the ankle--and there are the slouchy butt baggy (butt ugly) and I think these will not be in many closets. I mean the kind that are just a bit above the harem kind-with the crotch halfway to knees.

Also saw a pair very similar to mine last week at my bridge class, and they were not butt baggy, and looked fab. havne't worn mine yet as they feel very spring. But I did come home and took the tags off mine , so they are keepers.

also looked at some on line at Nordstrums and there are lots that do not look butt baggy.

Anyone else looking, buying or? Or see the difference in the degree of bagginess?

I'm looking for slightly slouchy slacks with tapered and perhaps cuffed legs, menswear inspired, maybe, but not at all the drop crotch or harem style. I'll check Nordtrom and see what they have.

I have a dirty love affair with slouchy pants ... I have slouchy black slacks and another very slouchy butt baggy soft springy one too (attached pic). I love both to bits. If I find a harem that flatters me I would buy that one too :). It just feels cool and rebellious to wear non figure flattering clothes. My opinion of course!

I am too, to some extent. There is an aspect of the not too- exaggerated slouchy style but with a waist fit, that just works better for curvy pear shape than some straights or skinnies. Plus they are frequently very comfortable. I wish I could use that as part of a signature style that could be updated with slightly different versions.

I still have some slouchy pants I made in the late 80s. Because I made them out of calico, they are still going strong, although they have been lounge wear only for at least 10 years now. I'm definitely interested in a pair or three to wear out of the house.

I am looking for a pair as well. I am looking for the same style that you describe above, but my main problem is that I can't find any that are long enough. I need a 34" length and they just don't seem to make them. I am guessing that I won't find anything this year ….

Oftentimes, wearing something well is a matter of finding the right version of the trend that works for our style, environment and body type.

I have a booty that must be dealt with. Sometimes, even for me, I'm willing to let the pants hang and drape a bit in back -- it can look great, done well. Mostly, I'm just wearing things a little looser, and embracing fluid fits and wide legs.

True dropped crotch baggies are a distinct look for sure, and many will choose to pass, but you should check out Firecracker and Cocolion's recent posts on the Eileen Fisher Harem pants. These are both women who love a little edge, but they're wearing these pants so beautifully in real life, as opposed to the runway!

i'm open to buying, but not committed. if i find a pair that i think could work in my real life, i.e. i could wear them work, then yes, but they are not on my list of must haves. now that will probably change in the next year or so as my eye gets more accustomed to seeing them, and understanding how to style them.
