Slouchy blk leather handbag ok for summer?

I have 2 pair of black summer sandals and don't feel I *need* to be matching my shoes or anything, but since I can't find another color option in my price range - and I like that black goes with white and navy and is a good neutral - is a casual black slouchy leather handbag okay for summer in your opinion? Should I keep looking for a different color option?

I use my black bags all year long so I don't see why you couldn't use a slouchy bag in the Summer.

I've used my black bags year round all my life. I'm updating now and it's fun to have some options. Keep your eyes open, you might just find something new and fun for summer!

I have also use my black bags all year round...I started getting away from it a little a couple of years ago, but I see it all the time here. Especially in good leather totes for work. This year I want a taupe of gray leather bag.

May I suggest, for outside of work, that a nice color canvas one is a good alternative and inexpensive ? Target has some. They are common here where I live, I don't know if they would be where you are.

But I personally agree that you are fine.

I think it all depends on the rest of your outfit. As we tend to wear lighter and brighter things in summer (at least I do :-)) black bag can look heavy unless it is tied somehow into the outfit through shoes, leggings, belts, other dark contrast colors... It would not work for me but may work for you!
