Slip on sneaker

I'm looking for a slip on sneaker for Hawaii to wear with everything (shorts, sun dresses.) I like that these can be worn with or without laces and with or without socks. I also thought these might be lighter weight than Vans. I can't decide whether these are going to be JFE. Should I give them a try? Anyone see them in person?

Eta: i like vans but they are strictly DDs territory. Haven't had much luck with keds either.

I like these, but I am not a sporty gal in the least! I like that they would go with just about everything.

Thanks, Gigi. It's so hard to tell when they don't show them on a foot. I'm spoiled by all of the different views that Zappos shows. Glad that you think they might be versatile too!

I don't know about the ties... I prefer the true slip on or else a real sneaker. And white will be dirty fast in Hawaii... Gotta try though!

Thanks for chiming in, Suz. Yes, I should just bite the bullet and order. I just couldn't decide if the vamp is going to be too high to be flattering. I've got a case of return fatigue so I'm hemming and hawing a bit

Ok I don't love how high the laces are - don't mind the high vamp itself. Hmm, I may have a poison eye for this kind of Ked-like sneaker... In which case, ignore me!

Have to see them on. I am with Una in that I have a little bit of a poison eye towards keds style shoes. I am absolutely loving my Sam Edelman slip ons - they have been brilliantly comfy with zero break-in issues at all....they work with everything too. Maybe re-visit the slip on look. Fight your dd's for the vans...

You have a way of making everything you wear look cool. I imagine these would look very laid-back and stylish on you without the laces. But I think I would prefer the Vans style slip-on. I don't get your comment about those--is it that you don't want to wear what your daughter is wearing?

@jackie and Firecracker: I have narrow heels and have a hard time getting slip ons to stay on. DDs live in the lace ups and I don't know if I can bring myself to wear the same shoe, in their favorite color! I feel like I need a
mom version will think on it a bit more and decide in the am. Thanks so much again!

Have you looked at Bensimons? Also, just a quick search and I found this pair by Yurban, which is available in a plethora of colours including white.. They are feminine and slip on and look lightweight and comfy. They are perfect really!

kellygirl - I'm not sure I'm keeping these because of the color (I ordered the tan) but they are SO comfortable - without socks. And they do have a white option. I also ordered the UGG Tomi in sand and chestnut so they are all up for consideration right now. I slightly prefer the look of the UGG due to the matching laces and more "earthy" appearance. They are comfortable enough but a little large in the heel area. But those Borns just felt so darn good all around. Fit like a glove.

I'd give these a try, they have no extra detailing on them, so they look very universal.

These are fun and versatile and I can totally see you rocking them with sundresses, shorts, etc etc etc! I can understand reserving the van style slip on for your DD's so these make sense.
