So interesting to read the feedback. I have a small bust. so I wear this with a strapless bra and feel very secure that no wardrobe malfunctions are going to occur. I also keep the straps rather high, so no gaping when bending down. I do appreciate that for those with a larger bust a dress like this is going to be more revealing on you than for someone like me.
My slip dress is properly cut on the bias, so it is fine to expand over my hips as I am pear shaped. A badly cut bias dress is terrible on me, but this is a brand (and heft of silk) that cuts their dresses on the true bias. Smittie - if I can wear a bias cut dress, you definitely can!
Because I was young in the 90's and wore these dresses, I think that is why I like them again. I would not wear this to work, but happily on the weekend and working from home.
Angie and TG - I will have to try a black and white t-shirt with it - I wore black and white t-shirts with my slip dresses in the 90's and felt very much like I was a character in "Melrose Place"!
Carla - I really admire how you know your style. I love RATE and Tomboy looks on others, but they are looks that don't work for me.
