New here, so forgive me if you've already discussed this:
I'm a little bit high-waisted, so I count on my clothing to help me create the illusion of a longer waist. However, I've noticed for the past couple of seasons that most dresses are a little bit high-waisted too; even higher than my natural waist, although not empire-waisted. The waistline seems to land at the bottom of my ribcage. I find this terribly frustrating, especially because I love to wear dresses.
I also have a large bosom, so empire waistlines make me look like a nursing mother. Does anyone have an explanation for this high-waist fashion? Who does it look good on??
