Sleep Number Bed

Do any one of you obtain your beauty sleep on air mattress aka sleep number bed? What's your experience? Thumbs up or down?

How long did it take you to adjust and find your number? if you and your significant other has vastly different numbers/firmness, is it detectable (visual and physical feel) in the middle of the mattress, as my understanding is that each side has its own control.

We are looking to upgrade to a king size bed, and I want a mattress that one side won't be disturbed by movement from the other side. Any pointers?

We have one and now use it for guest. I didn't like it and my husband did. I don't think it takes that long to find your comfort zone. I like less firmness than my husband. My body would displace the air and I would sink in a bit but then the displaced air would raise my limbs up higher and they are not heavy enough to sink down into the bed.
I prefer a water bed- we don't have that because hubby doesn't like them. We now have a temper-pedic mattress- it's ok.

You might check out some hotels. Some have the sleep # bed and you could try it out.
