Skirts and legs

I'm sure this was covered somewhere, if so please direct me there. The question I have is skirt and tall boots, should you wear tights (or some type of hosery) or are bare legs acceptable? I have a skirt that just skims the top of my boots it is about three inches below my knee, it has a slight slit. I like wearing with bare legs (once weather changes from fridged to chilly). A person I work with stated this is in bad taste? Please advise.

I wouldn't have thought it mattered as long as the boots don't rub and you're happy. We would wear bare legs with shoes in the summer so why not with boots x

Uhmm. Why would a co worker tell you that you were dressed in bad taste? That seems odd. Is this co worker a close friend?
You don't mention how high the slit in the side goes.

Edit: In re reading I see that your skirt has a 'slight' slit in it. That does not seem in bad taste to me at all.
I suppose it would depend also on the type of industry you are working in, some are much more modest than others. Also your co worker may be a very modest type of person.

As I am typing it, I am sitting at my desk wearing a knee-length wrap dress and brown knee-high boots without tights. there is about 2 inches gap between the hem of the skirt and the top of the boot. It looks absolutely fine, IMO, as long as the boots are comfortable without tights.

I am sorry to be rude, but you can just tell your coworker to mind her own business.
