Skinnies and boots- Take 2

I'm still trying to figure out this skinnies and boots thing. I've got a couple of new pairs of boots and picked up some new tunics yesterday. I think I'm moving in the right direction. Let me know what you think.

I like this tunic in person, but in pictures I get more of a maternity vibe off of it. What do you think?

For this one I had to go down a size to get the fit I like in the shoulder. It is more comfortable if I open the top buttons like it is in the picture. Is this a fashion no no?

Also, is this just an intrinsically casual look? I'd like to be able to wear skinnies and boots to work, but with the tunics it seems so casual. Any advice on how to dress it up would be appreciated.

Traci, I like the coloring of the first tunic but agree the shape is not great in the pics ~ I get that pregnant look vibe too.

I like the second one best of the three and love the unbuttoning at the top ~ lets you play with camis underneath. A pop of color there can be fun.

I think you can dress this up for work as long as your office is not too conservative/formal. Play around with necklaces and bracelets and I think it'll work fine.

Nordstrom has a lovely silk tunic in NAS that kellygirl just modeled to perfection. That might be a great choice for you ~ I'll find the link in a minute.

PS I forgot to add that I stole a peek at your adorable girl while looking at the tunics. What blue eyes!!

Good for you! - I'm trying to get into this look to so needless to say don't take too much notice of what I say...

Love #2 - what about a lighter cami and some jewellery for a pop of colour?

Is the problem in #1 the camera angle? I've had similar problems...

I really like outfits #1 and #2. You look fab, Traci!

I vote pass on the checked shirt in outfit #3. It does not do you justice. Try something more silky as Sparky suggests.

Dress things up with tailored jackets and accessories for work. Easy :0)

Wow, I really love you in boots +skinnies + tunics, Traci! My favourites are 1 and 2, great colours on you and I have a feeling the "problem" with 1 lies in the angle of the picture.

I don't see any problem with the buttons unbuttoned either, it's marvelous.

I was also thinking adding a fab jacket for work. Necklace or scarf (or both) et voilà;-)

I had similar reactions to the others: I think #2 is fantastic. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! It looks like you've been wearing this look forever. It looks fine unbuttoned. In fact, you could unbutton it even more and wear an interesting necklace under the tunic - that could be fun.

I have mixed feelings about #1. Like Inge says, it might be the photo. But it doesn't look as flattering as #2.

I'm not a fan of #3. I think it's a little too lumberjack. But if you want to go that route, I suggest an axe and a hard hat as accessories.

You can totally pull off the skinnies look! I agree with everyone that #2 is a hands-down winner. I also like #1 but it isn't as sleek as #2.
