Sizing question about the Gap Boyfriend shirts

Hey, Fabbers,

I bought the Gap yellow gingham boyfriend shirt today as well as the pink cat print one.

I bought size M in both, and they fit me well.

How much will these shrink? Should I go back and exchange for a L?

I bought the teacup one in small and almost died when I realized that I had accidentally tossed it in the wash on the warm cycle last night. I hung it to dry overnight and tried it on this morning. It doesn't seem to have shrunk, thank goodness. I will be washing it on cold from now on though.

Like Una, mine is more fitted. I'm wondering now if I should have bought it in a larger size.

Oh, and I love it so much that I went back and bought the cat one in navy!

Debora, thanks, I will be sure to wash mine on cold. My Gap was totally out of the Gap blue cat one -- I'm glad you got one!

I have washed mine (red teacups) on cold and it went in the dryer by accident but it hasn't shrunk as far as I can tell!

Meant to add that I wore mine yesterday and got three compliments on it! Two of my friends just went out and bought one too!

I washed mine twice in cold water and it did not shrink at all.
But mine is size up so I may not have noticed it shrunk

The S is perfect for me - it's not really fitted but not oversized either. And no button gappage!

No shoulder pulling either, Una? I guess I will try the M then. I usually swim in the L's--but the review are conflicting. Some run small, some big. Thanks! LOL about the button gappage--never a problem for me.

No shoulder pulling - really nice! I normally shirk woven button-downs for that reason.

I would say they are TTS. My cat one is XS and is just about right: not too fitted but not overized either, just a nice loose fit.

I wound up returning mine. The fit was nice in the shoulders and bust, but there just seemed to be too much fabric swimming around my waist and it looked weird when I tucked. Maybe it was supposed to be that way, but I decided it didn't look good on me. The cat print was super cute, though.
