Sizing dilemma - boots mismatched sizes?

I have a weird situation. I bought a pair of Blondo boots from Amazon. I ordered a 6 wide. When they came yesterday I excitedly tried them on right away. The left one felt a bit snug in the toes which surprised me. The right one felt a bit loose. I tried them on with different weight socks and they still felt the same. I don’t have one foot that is significantly bigger than the other one. I have never tried on boots/shoes and felt such a difference in sizes.

A few years ago I bought a pair of Naturlaizer boots from Nordstrom online and had a similar feeling when I tried them on. Turns out one boot was regular width while the other was the wide. I sent them back.

So the first thing I did was look to see if the boots had been mismatched. No, they’re both labelled 6W. I’ve search all over the internet for a way to measure the boots for width so I can compare. No luck.

Any suggestions?

I'd send them back anyway. Clearly, there was an issue in the factory making these if they're both labeled 6W.

would you rather have mismatched and uncomfortable shoes or a different pair of matching shoes?

I've had this happen in B&M stores because 1 shoe was the display model and got stretched out....were these fulfilled by Amazon/Zappos/6PM or from one of their marketplace vendors?

Kkards, good question, I just looked, it was fulfilled by Amazon.

I definitely don’t want mismatched shoes but would love to figure out how to measure accurately to compare them so I don’t just think it’s all in my head (or my feet!)

These are a bit of a unicorn because it’s almost impossible to find wide widths in Canada. I was able to buy these in Canadian funds, no duty or shipping and free returns. This is the jackpot in Canada and very rare.

If anyone knows any other brand besides Blondo that does wide width, weatherproof suede boots I’m all ears.

ETA: I just tried them on again and even though they’re a bit loose, I definitely think it’s the wide I need. I may just have to cough up an extra $26 and order them from Nordstrom. At least now I know they fit and don’t have to worry about costly returns.

Oh, bummer! But send them back, you’ll never be happy.
Surely they cost enough to get the $9.95 shipping from Nordstrom? It’s not THAT bad....

Looking at your pic closely, it looks to me that the right boot is clearly bigger. I suspect a manufacturing error. Presumably those can happen. It's a shame when they were the unicorn/jackpot...
