Just saw this and thought of you. The lady is very pretty and has fine features - like you. Right down to the blue eyes. Her hair and skin are sublime. Love her makeup and fun earrings. Beautifully polished and elegant. She wowed me. (And I am very inspired myself).

You can dye your brows yourself, and create a similar strong brow line - filling in the rest with pencil, if you like.

Personally, I think that makeup and brow definition are very important when you have short hair. I love the POLISH.

Eyebrow dye! I may try that at some point. I just ordered the just browzing kit in grey from Elea Blake to see if they have a good eyebrow fill color for me. The color I've been using looks too harsh now that I'm grey. It looks to have various light brown shades, but it's make-up not dye.

Microblading is more effective than dye if you have sparse or thinning brows- and lasts a whole lot longer......just saying;)

Microblading is definitely another way to go - and great when you have thin brows. The cost is unforntunate here in the US though. ($700 to $800).

Staysfit, my brows are a lot darker than my hair, and I like it that way actually.

That's weird - here it's typically $350 ish and touch ups are far less than that. Usually it's we Canadians who pay dearly for things.

And thank you for the tips about brow dying at home which will help. I think I will get it done at the salon that day while I am there if I can and then follow up at home.

Lisa, what is microblading? My problem really is sparse brows. Not from plucking but just genetics. It is funny because the hair on my head is SUPER thick!

My hair will be a darker silver now (especially at the back where there is less grey) and there will still be gold tips for a few more cuts, I predict. (I have about an inch of natural hair now.) But eventually (probably in another decade?) it will turn this sort of silvery white, at least if I am following in my mother's footsteps. If I take after my dad, the white won't come in fully until my mid-70s (so, several decades to go!) but I will have a nice silver in the meantime .

Polish I can do. It is my way, especially with super short hair. I don't wear lots of makeup but I wear it every day and I always wear earrings with a short pixie. And use some sort of product to give the hair shine, dimension, texture.

So I looked up microblading and it looks like the thing I need. But there is nowhere in my town that does it. (No wonder I didn't know about it.)

There is somewhere in Peterborough that gets great reviews. And the price is right compared to Toronto prices. Hmmm. Really curious if anyone has tried it.

Lisa has had her brows microbladed, and they look great.

(I'm the opposite. The hair on my head is fine, but the hair on my lashes and brows is thick and long. I have curtains in front of my eyes).

Microblading looks fantastic, and there seem to be a lot of places locally that do it. I had never heard of it until now. I'll try the dye, and if that gets to be a pain, I might have to try this. I have the brows, it's just that they're so light you can hardly see them.

Reading this topic with great interest. Angie I totally agree that cut will look wonderful on suz. I'm in the thick head hair thin brows club too...although only recently as far as thin brows. And my brows are white like the front half of my head hair. Thanks Lisa for introducing me to micro blading will check it out.

I can't imagine now what I'd do without the microblading. My eyebrow hair is very sparse, and was disappearing completely at the tail ....and I had been an absolutely slave to pencil for the past 10 years. I still use pencil and powder (mostly because I like the look of a darker, thicker , defined brow ) but I can now appear in public in an emergency without - or not look like a drowned rat at the gym or pool. You absolutely need to go to someone properly trained and qualified - unfortunately, there is no license needed to do this, and some brow places are teaching each other once one person has done the initial training. Xtabay - it won't do anything for you if you have lots of brow hair already. It deposits pigment where there is no hair - it doesn't colour existing hair.
