Silver boots redux, thanks to IK!

IK convinced me to give these silver E & J boots another go, in a half-size up (which puts me a full size over my usual size!). They fit. And they were $34. The question is, how do they look? I am convinced metallic footwear is the way to go for me - it is neutral but still fun and wearable with edge.

How do these look? Are they me? Ankle fit is good and not too gappy.

Notice that I could not wait to get home and put on these pj jeans to hang around the house and unpack!

I like them. I think they work best with the pant leg covering the ankle, as in the first photo. Somehow they are a bit too tall or something to look perfect with bare calves.

I really like the idea of silver for a light color shoe, since I'm unlikely to wear white or tan shoes with my color and style preferences.

They are somewhere between ankle and mid-calf... do you think that makes them less versatile? Could I wear with skirts or skinnies?

I like the boots a lot. That's a good point about them being higher than an ankle but lower than a mid calf. I will defer on that regarding wearing with skirts/skinnies - personally I think I would since although they are metallic they'd act quite neutral. And good price.....

Still loving those PJ jeans....one day I hope to pull the trigger...unless they sell out all over the place.....

I like them and think they will work well with midi skirts.

The boots look wonderful on you. The ankle fit is especially impressive. The metallic is a great neutral for a year round boot and they are not high contrast against your legs in the photos. I think they should be fine with skirts.

You know, I'm not sure they are unwearable with skirts and dresses because the ankle fit is pretty good, at least from the side in that photo. I am thinking of my Zara ink blue booties with the neoprene cuff -- they also come up quite high. Yet for some reason I think they work okay with skirts and dresses (and that is higher contrast to my skin). The pointy toe helps, as does the heel (on my booties, I mean) -- but I suspect with the right skirt or dress, these could fly. Are they comfortable?

They are comfortable enough - not sigh-worthy but fine for me. I will have to seek out some of your Zara bootie outfits, Suz!

I like them! The ankle fit is great. I like them both with long pants and on bare legs. I don't find the shaft height awkward at all - I think it's a little off with the "cropped" pants but would be great with a skirt.

I really like them with the full length pant, but not so much with bare legs. Not enough ankle definition for me, even though the calf part fits well. For $34 I'd still keep for pants, though!

I think they'd be fine with a skirt or skinnies! I only wasn't sure about them with the scrunched-up jeans.

I like them a lot! I think with the right skirt or dress they will look good because the leg opening fits quite well. For $34 I'd keep to wear with pants anyway.

I love metallic footwear on you! I prefer these with the pants over the top due to the bit of extra height in them. As to the skirt question, it's hard to say but because they fit close it is definitely worth a try. Great find.

Those are fab and very you! And what a great deal. Try them with skirts -- it may work. For that price, they're fab for pants even if they're not the best with skirts and dresses.

I love these on your tan, gorgeous self. I might even keep mine now, even though I forgot (!!!) I had a pewter pair already from Rag and Bone. If I do keep them I plan to wear them only with jeans, to be honest.

I reall like the color and calf fit. Although often the search for non- gappy is for skirt outfits , I am finding it takes a good ankle- calf fit to wear pants OVER the bootie if the pants are even straight, let alone slightly tapered, or the pant legs won't settle back back down over the boot after I sit or move around. So that's become almost a HEWI thing to avoid wardrobe malfunctions wher my pants are hiked up. Sayin' that because the fit on these boots is now my target even for wearing under pants. If instead you do lots of tucking into boots , you'd want to play and see how these work with that.

I got these on Amazon! I should add they were $34 because I used the gift card from my bank rewards. Looks like they are gone now.

Definite keep! These look very "Una" to me. They look great with your jeans and sweater, and, even though I'm not with the majority, I like them with your bare skin, too. I think they might be great with skirts. And definitely skinnies.
