My Report:
- I wore a pencil skirt around her. The world did not implode. In fact, one of our staff commented how nice it was to have residents who dressed nicely.
- She does have flare skirts she said she doesn't like to wear around me, because then when she does, people say, "Oh, a Lyn skirt." So we made a pact to wear more pencil skirts (me) and flare skirts (her).

The Quirky Heathers sound AWESOME. BelVita biscuits are nom nom nom!

@ Glory - I had my childhood bedroom plastered with Legolas posters. My parents used to make fun of the amount of time it would take me to take them down. Joke's on them! I just moved out

Too Funny!
A great read and a happy ending to boot

I love how that ended. Hooray for women being a team rather than competition!!!

I was going to say - imagine Marilyn Monroe in a pencil skirt, then imagine Audrey Hepburn in a pencil skirt. Both gorgeous, would look totally different yet equally fantastic!

I just want to say I am glad you posted this so that so many wonderful supportive and wise answers could come your way... This is not such an uncommon thing for women and a lot wait until their fourties to gain confidence and hopw anyone in the younger category can benefit from this if they see it in themselves...

Way to go! Great resolution.

Good for you! Sounds like a really positive result all round. And thanks for posting

If it makes you feel any better I know of an instance where the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom wore the *exact* same dress to their children's wedding. It was not planned.

whaaaaattttt ??? One Direction is my FAVORITE band of all time. I sing the following to myself every.day.

But I will dedicate this one to you, today :

Isabel - I know that song! It's fab! I didn't know it was One Direction! LOL. Oh, I feel a little old now! Also - I need a VW van to go on a roadtrip.

Also; decided to make it pencil skirt week. GO BIG OR GO HOME, right?

One of my closest friends wore the same dress as me to my daughter's wedding--and looked a lot better in it! We don't live in the same city so she didn't know.

@kkards - The lastest sports craze - full contact fashion!

I'm glad you two talked and everything is resolved!

Great update! I'm glad you both worked it out!

I love a story with a happy ending!

*happy sigh*

Lyn, I am glad you worked it all out but wanted to say I do understand how you feel. I had a friend in high school who used to wear the exact same hairstyle for months at a time. In year nine it was a braid and then later a bun. I remember feeling whenever I wore my hair in a bun that she kind of owned that style!

lyn-so glad that you 2 talked. you looked fab in your pencil skirt posted today

Horray for Sisterhood, your resolution gave me the fuzzies.
