Silly NAS disappointment - beauty products

Disappointing...but I guess it's my own fault?

I think I might have forgotten to enter in the "promo" code to get the Lancome gift with purchase that I was so looking forward to. Usually when there's a gift with purchase, the item is automatically added to one's shopping bag and/or you are prompted to select your choice of colours or makeup bag or what have you.

This isn't something that's happened to me before on other sites - because like I said, usually the GWP item is automatically added to your order once you've added enough purchases in your shopping cart to qualify for the gift, or you'd be prompted to select from various choices in the GWP.

I was quite disappointed today when my order finally arrived. No GWP. The NAS Lancome GWP included some eyeshadow and I was very interested in trying it before buying the full size.

The stupid thing is that I really needed new concealer and eyeliner, and I actually held off ordering because I saw that in the NAS catalogue that there would be a gift with purchase. Normally, I would have just gone ahead and ordered from Lancome itself, or Sephora or wherever. I ran out of concealer...but waited, because I was really looking forward to that GWP as part of the NAS.

My order came today, and no GWP.

And it was the first time I'd ordered beauty items from Nordstrom.

Silly, but kind of disappointing, just the same.

Contact customer service via the online chat! They are usually extremely helpful (and the few times I did not get anywhere with the first rep, I would just try again and get the result I needed).

I did send an e-mail inquiry - but I'm not sure that it'll help, because there's a chance that I didn't enter in the "promo code". I've ordered lots of beauty products from other sites where there is a GWP, and usually the items are automatically added, or you're asked to select from certain samples etc. In this case, I honestly don't know if I entered in the promo code or not. (ack!).

That said, I did send an e-mail regarding my order, just to ask. I feel a bit silly because it's entirely possible that I just forgot to enter the code and therefore, no GWP. That said, it'll be the first time I didn't get a GWP even though I ordered during the promotion and ordered enough product to qualify for the "gift."

I got a form e-mail back saying I'd hear from a Nordstrom representative within 48 hours. Only sent the e-mail very late this afternoon/early evening, so maybe I'll hear something back tomorrow.

I hope you get the GWP! I know how annoying it can be to want a sample/trial size of something and not get it. Cosmetics can be expensive and it is nice to have a trial.
