silk slouchy pant

I made a quick stop at the Nygard store this afternoon and saw these cropped slouchy pants. They are 100% silk but washable in cold water. I could only find the pic in beige but they also came in a really nice brown. The legs give me a bit of concern but I like the concept and the fabric felt heavenly.

What do you think? Could these work as slouchy pants? I thought possibly the legs could be narrowed. Think brown...

Hmm, first I thought these were roll-ups and was going to say yay if you could roll them down, but I don't think the cropped nature is going to work well. Baggy all the way through is great if they narrow at the ankle, but these are going to be a bit more awkward.

I like. I think silk's drape often counters volume in most styles. And the profile looks pretty narrow from the side here.

Only if something can be done about that leg...it desperately needs a taper!

Thanks ladies. I have some free time this afternoon so plan to go try them on. I would never have considered them except that they felt so wonderful and I am still losing weight (it is a very slow process) and think they could work even after more weight loss due to the slouch. I so want some new things but more tailored looks won't work in another month or so.

They also had a deep coral top in a soft drapey fabric that I thought would work really well with the brown.

Off to the gym and then afternoon browsing. I will post an update when I get back.

I saw these IRL! The fabric is divine. I agree the width of the leg might be an issue but I think they're worth trying on, adding some heels and styling it with a top and seeing how they look. I'd love to hear Angie's input based on an outfit.

My post disappeared! I was going to say that I'd prefer them with a taper. I just posted the Rag & Bone silk cargos I got last month. I know cargos don't work on everyone, but the pockets help the silk hold the volume and I need the balance for my shoulders. Good luck - I will keep my eyes open for you...
