LaBelle-- So far I don't find it fussy-- I think the neckline keeps the shirt from shifting and I am not pulling or fussing at it. The shirt is cut from one piece of fabric with little seaming and the underarms and shoulders are a continuous curve, so no true armhole and shoulder line to fit.
Neelie and Dee-- the sleeves might be what is throwing me off-- since I'm fairly tall I didn't expect the sleeves to be as long as they are. I don't know if a small would have the same drape necessary for the garment to lay right when my arms are down, but I don't want it to look dowdy as I move around. Idk about tapering the sleeves, but I could probably shorten them or roll them up higher.
Claire-- I will try it tucked-- you may be onto something with softening in the wash. It says it is hand washable and I think with my style the patina will be a nice look, plus I expect to wear it mostly in the summer other than gallery openings, so I will want to WASH the thing. The length is great, totally wearable as a summer top with jeans as well as as a shell in winter. I really am impressed with the fabric and construction.
Laurie and Astrid-- good to know we have some that like it.
Angie-- thanks for dropping in! So, good fit? No need to size down?
