So much for simple straightforward questions, lol

The blazers are spot on with the pants IMO. Love the addition of a quilted vest. I don’t have cause to wear quilted vests anymore, but I seriously lust after the one in 10. Seriously!

What a brilliant signature style you have and the Bowie reference just makes it even better. The vest in #10 is so architectural, I love it for you.

I love the pants and their inspiration! The AD jacket is seriously gorgeous and special--I think I would wear it with everything! I love it with those pants, but I also dig the quilted vest and the other looks (the new Jil Sander/Uniqlo vest possibly coming down the pike looks awesome--can one have too may vests?). I personally love all sorts of layering--the more creative the better!--which is what makes fall and winter so fun.

Yes, Keeley Hawes is in Ashes to Ashes. Each season she has a different look. In the first season she had extreme curly hair, second season she had soft curls, and in the third season (what we’ve seen so far) she has straight hair. The white jacket was originally from a dead person or arrested person, and was given to her so she would have something to wear besides her undercover hooker outfit. She wore that jacket through the first two seasons. In the third season she’s wearing a dark boyfriend jacket. I first saw her in Durrells in Corfu, then saw her in her long running part in MI5 (originally titled Spooks, I think). Her outfits in that were kind of ordinary. In Corfu she played the mother and wore mostly linen dresses.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I cut the tags on this pair and pulled the trigger on the same size in green, which arrive next week. I have a feeling I am well on the way to a fully functional wardrobe again!

rachylou: that is the saddest thing I have ever heard. Why in the world would you, Queen of the Puffy, have no call for a quilted vest?

Bijou, thanks! As everyone knows here on YLF, it takes a lot of effort to make it look this effortless. My friends all hate it when I say that.

Jonesy, I am pretty sold on that vest. I have an old one here that no longer fits and Uniqlo now take part exchange.

JAileen: Yes! Wardrobe did a brilliant job on that show. It felt very authentic. My favorite Keeley Hawes moment is as Lindsay Denton in Line of Duty. A stunning performance.

I know! I wore one every day for about a year, when I was a grocery store cashier, while in school. Registers were between the doors and open ‘frigerators! I was so cute…
