Should white jeans fit differently?

I'm finding that I like my white jeans to fit a bit more loosely than my dark jeans. Not a whole size larger, just a bit roomier. What about you?

I'm not really sure the answer to this question. All white jeans have fit me slightly differently than their blue denim counterparts. I even tried the white COH Ambers on, and they were different than the blue COH Ambers. I think it has something to do with how they treat the fabric to make it white. I still liked the way the white Ambers fit and felt, so I am thinking of picking up a pair. But they didn't feel quite as comfy and stretchy as the blue ones I tried.

They will fit differently Ana and Donna because the fabric is different. White denim is not stone washed, which alters the integrity of the fabric.

Donna, regardless of how differently white denim fits compared to dark denim--I do prefer to wear white jeans a little bit looser. If it's too tight, it makes my thighs look dimpled (which they're not), and it makes my calves look sausaged. So, I like to have a little breathing room between me and my white jeans--but like you said, not a whole size larger or anything--they still need to fit snug to look their best--but they can't be too tight. I suppose if you're rail thin, tight white jeans might look better than looser ones. So, I agree with you on you OP.

I also prefer my white denim just a teeny-tiny bit looser then blue one. But, I find that the materials are very different, as Angie says, so my white jeans tend to stretch out more with wear than blue ones, ending up looking looser anyway, even though i have originally bought both in the same size.

I'm glad you mentioned that Nicole, because I tried on a pair of BR bootcut jeans this past weekend and they made my thighs look like cottage cheese. I was depressed all day. My thighs aren't tiny, but they're at least toned so I was not sure what that was all about.
Does anyone have a pair of white jeans they love? I did like the COH Ambers on Ana, but although we typically wear the same size on our bottom half, I had to try a size larger than she did and they were STILL too tight. Yeesh.

Sarah, how about a pair of white trouser jeans then, they are cut looser through the leg and you might feel more comfortable in them. I recently got these from Joe's and love them:

Those look really nice, Tanya! What's the style name? I've figured out in all my jeans searching that I need a higher rise as well, so these look great.
I bought some blue denim 7FAMs this weekend, and I also tried on some white hoping they'd be just as nice. Not so.

Btw, if you like the white pair I posted here ( they are bit lower and not so wide as the white pair I got), I have ordered them in dark denim and waiting for them to arrive, so I will post a photo and you can see the fit.

Edit: I forgot to say that SFAMK Ginger in white have similar styling ( but they are not trouser, regular 5-pocket) and are very nice, I tried them on at Nordie's past summer:

I'd love to see a photo of the jeans you have on order. I like the look of the high waisted trousers, but the 7FAM Gingers look nice. Thanks, that gives me options to try!

Sarah, I just ordered 2 pair of white jeans from Esprit...I'll let you know as soon as they arrive. I'm afraid they're going to be too small though.

My white jeans from last year are just levis..and I loved them--but they are too big and they do stretch out more than normal jeans. I thought it was just cuz they were Levis, I hadn't considered it was because they were white.

I do have a pair of white Levis in their Vintage Skinny cut. I love them! I do want to find a crisper bootcut or trouser as well. I wore the skinnies so much I think a second pair of white jeans (in a different style) wouldn't be excessive for me.

Surprisingly to me, my white jeans are looser than my dark rinse jeans. Both AG Clubs, but I know that darker washes are usually tighter because of the treatment of the fabric, the amount of dye and the processes involved.

I was relieved to experience that difference, and still am every time I put them on.
