a newbie here.

I am unsure about wearing a hat to a friend’s wedding. I am having a bespoke dress made (based on a dark blue piece worn by the Duchess of Sussex recently) and I am also thinking about wearing a small hat (this one, but in dark blue to match the dress: https://sk.pinterest.com/pin/5.....945f1b710c ).

The thing is, I am 99.9% sure that I’ll be the only guest wearing a hat. Here in Eastern Europe, even the mothers of the bride/groom rarely wear hats & I am afraid of upstaging the bride and stealing the show, even though the hat is small and simple...but then, it’s not often that I get to wear one and I would absolutely love to! And it also goes with my personality, etc., after all, I am a career diplomat, so elegance is my thing...

Your thoughts?
