Should i pull the trigger on this leather jacket? (urgent)

Pros: I love the peplum styling and the color. I have tried on NM's house brand leather jackets before (remember the pepto pink jacket?) and they fit me really well. Free shipping, and I can return in store for free.

Cons: Still kind of expensive even with all the discounts. Not sure the neckline would work on me and my short neck (but it sure looks cool).

I need to decide by 5pm today... have just learned that we will have no internet at the vacation house so I guess I will not be doing much online shopping this holiday. =P

My worry is thtat the 'scaley/ruffly' peplum might date the jacket more quickly than a regular peplum.

If that is not an issue for you then I would give it a try.

Free shipping and returns? Try it!! It is very unique; not like you will find it again later if you regret it. I feel the opposite of Mo; I think the scaled peplum will make it more of an art piece and thus timeless. Kind of like Fluevogs.

I should add that there is also this one, which comes in teal and has (hooray!) gold hardware. Definitely a more classic shape, and the neckline is a good shape for me.

Rae, I know what you mean about not being able to find it again... I've had it in my cart for a while, and at some point it vanished from the website for a while (still at full price) which made me sad.

If your credit card can take it, get them both and try them on. Then you can return what doesn't work.

I vote jacket 2. Much more classic (in the long-lasting sense, not in the classic dresser sense). The neck issues would be a deal-breaker for me with that first jacket...

OK, well, I ordered both to compare. Hopefully one works out! The second one ended up being more money even though the original price was lower because the black friday 20% off promo did not apply to that one.

I've been wanting a teal leather jacket for a long, long time.

ETA: Today I have already purchased these 2 leather jackets, a sequin jacket from AE, and a plane ticket. I think I need to give my credit card a rest.

I quite like jacket #2. Like Mo, #1 concerns me in that it might be dated quickly and you will want it to work for sometime.
