Should I order the Zara jacket? And in what size?

So the other jacket obviously didn't work out, should I try the Zara jacket? It's even on sale now, only 40€.

Any ideas about the size? I'm not sure if a s or a m would be better. I think I'd try the m first, Zara normally runs small, right?

Yes, try it! I find Zara to run small, although I realized when looking at the size chart the other day that they think a US size 8 is a Large. Which explains why I can fit into both my normal size 8 and a Large there. So I think the size chart is actually somewhat accurate...

Best if you could find it in a store, though, of course.

Thanks Diana! I also had a look at the size chart and I think I'll try the Medium. I already looked for it in the store, but they didn't have it. I have never ordered online with Zara before, but well why not.

I also vote to try, but Zara sizing is raaaaaandom. You might want to try two sizes.

I second Rae's suggestion of ordering two sizes, Astrid. I recently ordered something via Zara online and was very happy with their service. Fast delivery, and if something doesn't work out you can return to a brick and mortar store. FYI: I did need to return something, and by the time I got home from the shops the money had already been refunded to my PayPal account.

I believe I chose express delivery because I really wanted to wear the blouse to a party that same week. But if it's not that urgent, I would just go with standard delivery (less expensive). Or you could even have it delivered to a store near you, that option is free.

Thanks Inge. They say they don't deliver to a store for orders that are placed before the 29th. No idea why. I could wait, but I'm not sure it won't be sold out then. And the normal delivery times are longer now. Express is now as fast as standard delivery normally is.

Yes, that's likely the reason. I'm thinking about having another look in a different Zara tomorrow to see if they have it there so I don't have to order it at all. Just not sure.

I love this jacket and stand with Mo on the unknowns of Zara sizing. It is a great-looking jacket and I hope you get it.

Thanks Mo and Vicki! I went to another Zara store today and they had it there. It looked nice, but unfortunately the color looks completely different IRL than on my screen. It's a much more vibrant warm deep olive green. Not my color at all. Seems like I have to keep looking.

Astrid how did you find the sizing? I had been hesitating to buy because I thought it was muted but if you say it's a more vibrant green then I think I should try. I was also debating between the S and M, usually wear XS but often have to size to S for my shoulders.

Aida, I only tried it on quickly in front of a mirror in the store because it was packed, but I think the M was best on me. I'm somewhere between S and M recently with my jackets, if you usually wear XS (which I never do) I would try the S first, I think.
