Nordies dress update: Should I order one?

Tried this dress at Nordies - NOT on sale. I really liked it except there was one seam that did not lay flat (left hip) - should I search for another one? Wait for a discount? Pass?

ETA: I tried on a big pile of dresses at Nordstrom Rack and none came anywhere close to flattering... I am leaning toward ordering one and hoping the seam behaves - thoughts?

Oh, I really like it on you. i can't see the seam very well in the pics. I would vote search for another.

I like! So nice to see you in a dress, too. Yes, look for one with a good seam. Or check to see if it could be fixed with an iron.

This dress would integrate beautifully into your existing wardrobe. If you can't find another one, The "alteration department" might be able to very easily fix the seam.

Thanks, everyone! DH and I are out and about today so hopefully I can swing by a Nordies. Fingers crossed that the issur is not the same on all of them. Beth Ann I will be sure to ask about that, too!

Yes, try to find another one because it looks really good on you (way better than on the model, in fact)! I'm pleased to see you aren't averse to a bit of dark pink. Mixed with black it totally works for your coloring AND your style persona. Nice!

Look for another one.

I had this issue with a dress I ordered from Title Nine last year -- there was a side seam that had been sewn so that it flipped and created a little bulge exactly where the widest point of my saddlebags are. I called them to check on getting another one, and they said that was the last one in my size. I thought it might be simple enough to have my tailor redo the seam so it would lie flat, and I asked the customer service rep if they would take the return if that alteration was unsuccessful. She said yes, so I tried it. The dress turned out perfectly.

So maybe if you don't find another in your size, a simple alteration might do the trick? Just something to keep in mind if you love it.

I LOVE this dress and I can easily see you wearing and styling this for your new employment "environment." I'd definitely look for another one - or check with Nordies and see if their alterations dept. could "fix" the one you've got! To me, sometimes its worth paying full retail for a piece of clothing and in my eyes this dress is worth it because its unique, different from anything else I've seen you wear - AND it still works with your style persona!

Well, I was not able to find another to try on today. I have some gift card money that would partially pay for the dress, but a portion of that is a Nordies promotion that has to be used this weekend, so I need to decide if I should order it.

Anna, that's a good point. On the one hand, I will have to be more careful with money soon. On the other hand, I've been looking for prints for a very long time and this is only the third that I actually liked on me so far. I am also going to resell a bunch of my more constricting office clothes since I won't be needing them...

Update: the in-store locator said they had the dress at a store near me, but when I got there no one could find it.

Leaning toward ordering one, unless anyone chimes in with a huge point of objection... Angie?

Ummm... Not a big fan. It looks a little tween to me, from the online pic.i can't see much detail from your own pictures. It's always worth trying it on. Free shipping and free returns? Can't beat that!
