The only hesitation I have is that it's Forever 21. Not that you can't find anything worthwhile there, but quality is obviously a concern. http://www.forever21.com/Produ.....2000020932 Could be great as a tunic, or even over leggings with my height, I think. Would you give it a go or leave it alone?

My only concern is that it seems a strong departure from where I've seen your style going recently. That, and F21 will only exchange if you don't like it.

How do you see yourself wearing this?

I love the colors and print! Could you layer a blazer over it easily? It might be fun to try. You never know until you do, right?

yeah, Rae, I have been going simpler and away from pattern but I think that's partly why I'm craving a little pattern and flowy 'girliness'. I see it as a tunic over skinnies or leggings out for a fun evening or even a day of shopping and lunch. I sometimes feel like I have too many streamlined tops and no volume, you know?

I have bought from F21 and there's a variety in quality, for sure. I can see you wearing this as you said, with leggings and as a tunic. I think the color is great and the flowy nature of it, too. Are those peacock feathers?

Okay, as an F21 shopper I would stay away from this. It's very appealing, but my experience is that their floaty things are flimsy and not so well-made. Plus as Rae said, they only give store credit. I see lots of this kind of top at Target in the juniors section (Exhilaration is the brand, I think). I've seen some Joie tops like this at Nordstrom too.

Yeah, Mo, I was going to say that a "cheaper" top at a store like F21 can be really scratchy......I would want to feel the fabric before purchasing.....

It looks like the search is on for a similar alternative. I could see you wearing this top as you have desribed with the addition of a belt or topper to cinch some of the volume. The colours are 100% Mo!

My own personal shopper- how fun!! I like the INC but think I will let the 'perfect' peacock top find me in due time. I have other goodies to tide me over for now. And I do appreciate the feedback - I want to limit my purchase mistakes and this helps so much when I can't go feel and touch things!

I see you've decided, but I wanted to explain my nay vote. It's not just the possible quality, but I get a very bohemian vibe from this particular top for some reason. I think you are right that the perfect one (quality and style-wise) will find you in time.

I really recommend going to the store to try things on because they do run small and plus they only make exchanges, no returns.

Looks like you have already decided to skip this, but just wanted to chime in to say that, like alaskagirl, I have found F21 items made from chiffon-type material are often really poorly sewn - the hems are particularly crooked, elastic might be uneven, etc. Granted, no one is going to F21 for expert tailoring, but I usually find they have singificantly better quality in their things made of heavier fabrics.
