Should I get a haircut? Anxious for feedback

I have had my hair long now for almost 5 years-- and I love it. My hair is naturally curly, but if I blow dry it straight as I usually do it takes me about 45 minutes to style (feels like FOREVER in the morning) I came across this picture the other day though of a short style and I loooove it-- but I am not sure if it would work for me since I have a rounder shaped face. What are your thoughts?

I think it would love great. If it takes 45 minutes to style your hair, whew, I'd say you should definately make a change. You must have very thick hair. It is beautiful as is but that is a long time to spend styling hair.

I love the new cut! I love your hair now too by the way. I think it would totally work for your face shape. It's basically the same thing you have now, only shorter. Very sexy! Maybe you could cut off 15 minutes from your styling time.

I was *just* in your shoes not two months ago. I used to have long hair, and mine is also naturally curly. When I would blow it out, it would take at least 30 minutes, plus with our heat and me going straight from running, to hot shower, to hot hair dryer, it just got to be too much.
I'm not sporting a fairly similar style as your inspiration photo and I love it. It's not too short if you decide you don't like it, but it's short enough that it will cut down on the time it takes to fix it.
With the right products, I can make it more wavy rather than super curly. I like it!

I'm no expert, but i think your hair looks adorable parted to the side as it is....so going shorter would only accentuate your curls. As long as you keep it touching your shoulders-ish, I think it would work with your facial structure. And just think of all the time you'd have to sleep-in, in the morning! =)

I really love your long hair, but 45m???
I had also long hair four months ago, naturally curly. It took me 20 m. to blow it and it was frustating because as soon as I catched a little rain it would curl again!
I decided to cut (a lot) and I don't regret, it made my life much easier.. Go for it!!

Oh my gosh - you would look even more adorable with that shorter 'do than you already are! I say go for it. Even if you decided to leave it a little longer to transition away from your long hair.

Please post a photo when you do it!

Well aren't you pretty , with great hair. This style you have chosen looks like a shorter style of what you have , so you will still have the same overall look, just a shorter...sassy,and more energy efficient you!!:)

RAS - lovely photos! I am also a curly girl and the one time I had a cut that had to be straightened every morning it drove me to tears. It was just too much work. Also, all that heat is probably not good for your hair in the long run.

You may even have commented on this thread - there were so many replies to it that I didn't go through them all, but if you haven't seen it, take a look. There is no doubt that life is much easier when you're not fighting your hair.
