Should I duplicate this shirt?

I have this shirt in the citron color and LOVE it - I've worn it three times in two weeks. I didn't see anything I needed at the Nordstrom sale (a MIRACLE! Although the orange DV boots recommended by Angie arrived and are being returned because they are way too small)... but I did see, in person, this shirt in the ultramarine. The color is to die for.

Would you duplicate?

I'm all for duplicating. I do it all of the time. My only caveat is that it is something that I think will age well (I've been known to get this wrong too.) My only hesitation with this blouse is the sheer panel. Do you think you might tire of it? I only ask 'cos it's kind of spensive.

I love the shirt but I don't see is as versatile as a non sheer top, especially for your climate. I wouldn't duplicate.

The citron blouse looks soooooo amazing on you Una - I would duplicate. You know you're gonna wear it and love it and like Rae says, bookend with the blue booties...SO FAB!

Okay, it's not really a basic - but it's my kind of basic, which is a versatile statement piece. It is expensive, but I've returned so much stuff lately I can afford it. Hmmm - the electric booties would match nicely!

Remember: basics do not = boring!

I contend that this IS a basic for you. This is the Una version of a BB shirt, I think. It dresses up and down, and both colors flatter you no matter what else you pair it with. You can tuck the tails into a high waisted skirt and pretend it's more serious than it is, or you can let it all hang out.

I have two identical silk tunics in indigo and teal and I love and wear both of them. If you like fabrication and style and another color is going to be useful in your wardrobe - go for it!

Rae is too convincing not to listen to! For what it's worth, I have a navy blue silk Ann Taylor shirt that I almost bought in white and I'm STILL kicking myself for not duplicating it....so I say go for it!

hey, just Like Angie introduced us to the concept of 'virtual neutrals', rae has taught us about the 'virtual basic'!

I couldn't agree more. I make these little cotton cami-tops for myself. I rarely run across anything at all like them, much less on a 'basic ten' list. But i live in them come the hot hot summers we have.

It's all about finding what is fab for You!! steph
