Should I buy this top?

I have some gift vouchers for Myer and they're currently having their end of financial year sale.

I have about $85 left. I tried this top on yesterday. It's by Basque, which is quite nice corporate and evening wear brand.

It's still at full price (still about $70). It's silk and feels nice on. It's a slightly bigger fit (tried it in a size 8) but I think it has potential.

Any ideas for styling? Do you think I should just go for it or save my money? I wouldn't normally get to own something from this kind of brand Is it flattering?

So...the upshot of it is...worth it or not? Yay or nay?

The top is gorgeous! You can do black, with a cardi over it, or denim with a denim jacket. Or pull out the pink/purples. I think there is lots of styling potential with it.

I think it's a very pretty top on you, but if you don't feel fabulous when you put it on, wait to find something that does.

I love the top! And I totally agree with Taylor. I love anything with ruffles! But if you love it then get it. If not then I wouldn't suggest you purchase it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I agree with Angie, do you love it? For $70 I'd want to make sure you do, as there is plenty else I'm sure you could find too. Although I do love ruffles, and I like the pattern, somehow it just seems too much together. Or maybe its not draping quite right. But if you love it, I say go for it!! And please remember my brain is in a post-op confused stage today, so take everything I say with a grain of salt!!

Thanks gals! Well, I think I've decided to wait it out a bit and see if there's something else. It is a little big on me after all and it's not exactly "cheap cheap", ya know? I better love it if I'm going to pay a bit extra.

I really like it Tara! The only thing I'm wondering is that it must be freeeeeezing cold at the moment. Would you get a chance to wear it, or would it just sit in your cupboard for quite a few months? If so, I'd wait and buy something more when the new summer season stuff comes out in late July. (Or so I heard/read somewhere!)
