Should I buy these? Skirt and cardi

I tried on two pieces yesterday that I really liked, but, didn't buy. The thing is, there are a few other items that I'm planning on buying this month, and, with a student budget, I'm not sure I should splash out on more... This skirt and cardi aren't things I really "need", but... you know, I still like them

Would love to hear some of your opinions! Could it be worth it?

I like the cardi but i think you would need to wear it with things with a harder edge, biker boots etc or i think it could look to girlie. I'm not keen on the skirt i don't like the pleating in it. What are the other things on your list? x

To be honest, I'm not crazy about either of them. It seems that a more streamlined skirt would be more flattering, and the color of the cardi seems to wash you out. I think I"d look for a solid colored cardi in a better color.

Coming from someone also on a budget, I'd pass for things you *need* more than you want. These items seem like warmer weather items. Also, my best tip is: You have to LOVE an item, not just like it. Do you love and need these items?

I think both are cute and your style, but make sure it won't be a waste of money!

Thanks you all! I'm starting to feel quite pleased that I didn't buy any As you say Marianna - good point - you need to LOVE the items, which I didn't! Neither loving or needing them... so better to keep the money for something else! And queenie - I just found the cardi super cute, but, I'm in a way quite glad to hear that the colour might not be great for me; that way I don't have to regret not buying it!

Louise - I've already this month bought some more items to complete my swing dancing outfit Just need a top now, but the one I planned on buying from Topshop (http://i646.photobucket.com/al.....CF0063.jpg) has sold out in white! So I need to try and find another top to match, that's one of the planned things. I'd also like another top that I can both wear for some retro feeling while dancing, but also having as everyday wear. And I need some insoles for my winter boots, which I bought a size too big. And gloves for winter. Well, those are the most acute ones. No huge spendings, but, still..! Would also love to find another great pair of skinnies, in blue jean, but, not actively looking yet.
